Our first days in Maui

We arrived on Maui on September 27th and the Brady's did not get there until the 30th. So Joey was stuck with Mom and Dad entertaining him until his buddy Kat arrived. We were very mellow and stayed close to the condo. We spent our days swimming at the pool and ocean, playing in the sand, eating and taking naps. It was fabulous. The naps were key because we were not adjusted to the 3 hour time difference. We also eased into our sun time, so as not to get burned. Although, I could have spent all day everyday out there, that did not quite work for the pasty men in my life. (Sorry Matt and Joey, but the truth hurts sometimes.) I did manage to come back with a great tan but it was pretty much sucked away as soon as we landed in Seattle on October 7th. Oh well what are you going to do. I am debating on the tanning bed, but really don't have time for it. So I guess we will just start planning another trip to a tropical climate very soon!

Joey's first time in the pool at The Whaler. He loved it!! Time for swim lessons.
Joey loved swimming over to the waterfall daily.
Playing in the water.
First time at the ocean for this trip.
Playing in the sand with the awesome toy set the condo gave us. Beautiful Black Rock in the background.
"One, two, three, jump!!"
Joey had many conversations with himself in the mirror.
Yummy local food.
Joey tried "loco moco" for the first time. He loved it. Guess we will be hitting the L&L Hawaiian BBQ in Federal Way very soon.
Second day at the beach.
Trying to lean down and blow bubbles. He eventually managed to do it when he got out of the floatie.
Having a snack with Daddy.
Running around at Whaler's Village. We were there almost nightly. It was right next door to our condo.
All tuckered out after a busy day of playing and night of socializing.
Trying out the overpriced life jacket we bought. The was the first and last time he wore it.
Swimming in the empty pool. So nice.
