On Monday the 18th, Mom and I stayed with the kids while Dad, Matt, Ann and David drove to see the volcano. They also drove through Hilo and came home via Waimea. They had a good time and saw some cool stuff at the volcano but no lava. Maybe next time. Mom and I enjoyed a relaxing day at home.
On Tuesday the 19th, we headed to the "Place of Refuge" in the morning and then enjoyed the pool in the afternoon. The Place of Refuge is an area where original Hawaiian settlers spent time. Ann and David went whale watching in the afternoon and saw whales and dolphins on their adventure.
